"Souviens-toi: A Somber Recollection of Oradour-sur-Glane"

“Souviens-toi” is a piece about the small french town of Oradour-sur-Glane, which was destroyed during WWII. In the midst of this terrible massacre, only 6 citizens were able to escape out of hundreds. This piece was performed and won the first place price in the Martin Luther King Commemoration this past January. This same piece was chosen to represent the UVSC student work at the American College Dance Festival. It will also be presented at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research. Creating this piece has been a long process, and has required a lot of hard work. I am so greatful for my wonderful dancers for being a part of this project.
